Joseph Nengiva Risianoi

I work in Oldo-nyonyoki as a Pastor.

I am 35 years old.

My birth date is 1974.

I am from the Maasai tribe.

My favourite scripture is Matthew 28:18-20

Education:

Completed Adult Literacy Class

Goal:

Is to be able to complete the building of our church.

Bio:

My father is married to three women of whom my mother is the second. I am the first born of a family of nine. I have four brothers and four sisters. I was a herds boy when I was growing up because my father didn’t think I needed to go to school. I started with looking after young goats and eventually worked my way up to looking after cattle.

I had heard about Christianity when I was a child. As young children we were always called together by some evangelist and they would teach us choruses and things from the word. God’s plans are not man’s plans however and in 2000 I met Lay Pastor James Nanka. He was employed by MDP. He visited our village often and invited me and my friends to an evangelistic meetings organized by MDP. I attended and my heart was touched. In December of 2000 I gave my heart to Christ and was baptized. My greatest aspiration was and is to preach the gospel and teach Bible prophecy. In April of 2006 Maasai Development Project asked me to become a lay pastor.

I am married and have four children. It is my wife and my prayer that our entire family will find Jesus someday and we will be able to worship together each Sabbath.

Prayer Request:

Pray for our church to be strengthened.
