  Immanuel S. Tumpes

Immanuel S. Tumpes

I work in Namelok/Sinet as a Pastor/Teacher.

I am 25 years old.

My birth date is March 21, 1984.

I am from the Maasai tribe.

My favourite scripture is Acts 4:12

Education:

Completed 8th grade

Goal:

For students to d this year’s proficiency exams and to bring five new converts to Christ

Bio:

I was introduced to the church during my childhood. My brother shared Bible Studies with me that he had been given. They taught me so much about the truth of the Bible and I decided to join the SDA Church. Since I was still in school and very far away from home, it was quite hard for me to keep the Sabbath. I tried to talk to my teachers about missing school one day so I could attend church. They told me that I should change my faith. My head teacher had a long discussion with my parents and they finally decided to let me miss classes on Saturdays to go to church.

Even though I missed every Saturday, my grades were the highest. After my final exams, I left school and returned home where I could find a peaceful place to secure my faith. I was very hungry and thirsty for the truth and somehow I knew that the Adventist church was the place to find it. Now that I have found it I am able to tell other’s about it. I know my people are hungry and thirsty for the truth also. God has given me a tremendous passion to work for Him and spread His truth to all I can.

The year 2003 was my introductory year into literacy teaching and evangelism. Two lay pastors from MDP were sent over to our district and I was asked to join up with them in spreading the good news. I work in Namelok and Sinet area near Mt Kilimanjaro. I have not married yet.

Prayer Request:

Please pray for the presence of the Lord to abide with me.
