Julius Kamakei Pareyio

I work in Empopongi/Oldungiso as a Pastor/Teacher.

I am 38 years old.

My birth date is Nov. 27, 1971.

I am from the Maasai tribe.

My favourite scripture is II Cor. 2:17

Education:

Completed 12th grade/Form 4

Goal:

Is to work really hard at evangelizing the men in our community. (For the most part men do not attend church, only the ladies)

Bio:

I was a Christian and worked hard in my two churches. While I was in charge of these two churches, I met a girl whose mother was of a different denomination. A few of the members and I decided to meet with this woman on a regular basis and talk about the word. To our surprise she started teaching us about her religion which was Seventh Day Adventism. It began to change my life and I re-studied the Bible. It was then that my life changed and that is how I was introduced into the SDA Church. I believe that during this time I really grew in my new faith.

I moved back to my home area in 1998, and began taking part in various spiritual activities such as Bible studies and visitation. My relationship with Christ grew and I was baptized in the river on July 15, 2000.

I have been working with MDP since March 30, 2006. God has blessed us with a small group that meets every Sabbath, and an adult literacy class. I have 4 students in my literacy class and 6 people are coming to church services on Sabbath. I am married, but we do not yet have any children.

Prayer Request:

Please pray for God to soften the men’s hearts to accept the Gospel.
