Awareness Speaking

MDP welcomes the opportunity to come to your school, church, organization, or fundraiser to help bring awareness to the plight of the “at risk” girls in Maasailand. School presentations provide a hands on opportunity for children to experience another culture through stories, video’s, pictures and dressing in the traditional garb of the Maasai.

MDP Education Centre

When MDP was asked to provide a home for young girls needing a safe place to live, the question was asked how many “at risk” girls (girls forced into early marriage ages 9-13, girls being forced into FGM ceremonies) are there in this community alone? The immediate answer was 1,500 girls. MDP could not overlook the great need and with the help of the community the MDP Education Centre was started. Working directly with the Child Services, MDP provides a safe home, education, food and clothing for each child at the Centre.
