Education is one of MDP's primary goals. In order for the Maasai to survive modernization, they need education. Most importantly, they need to learn to read and write. Because many of the Maasai are not educated, they are at risk of being cheated out of their land and animals-- resources for their survival.

MDP currently sponsors 18 Literacy/Adult Education Teachers who teach not only basic literacy skills but also personal economic growth skills and health/AIDS awareness. Partnered groups work together to bring hope to their own people--lay-pastors to give hope of life everlasting and literacy teachers to give hope for a better life now.
